I asked a girl out to a homeless shelter

So I am good friends with this person and she has expressed prior interest in volunteering at the nearby homeless shelter. On the other hand, I am a weekly volunteer there and I offered that we could volunteer there together. Though this is not a date, it is still a momentous occasion for me because I have never asked out a girl to do something with just me and our shared friend group usually goes on outings together instead. 

I will update this (if I can) once she has responded!!
