went to the mountains

WOW mountains are so huge.. it's so cool!

I went skiing for a couple of days and we drove there. Driving to the mountains is so neat because they just keep getting bigger and bigger.. it was snowy too so you couldn't see too much ahead, so it was like they came out of nowhere.

The idea that we live among nature of this level is so cool to me. I think humans in general need more trips to natural places.. we could all use a little more appreciation for nature now. Being around things so huge (and they reaaally are) makes me think of us as bugs.

We all looked like bugs skiing on the giant mountains when I was going up the lift. Humans are all kind of ants that just do whatever we want. lol!

But it also made me think about how it's so cool that it's completely natural. You'll see a skyscraper and be like wow.. that thing is so tall. But it's artificial, so that gets rid of some of the magic. The idea that NATURE all by itself created something as colossal as a mountain feels cooler to me than a skyscraper. I think we were created to appreciate these things, because no one else can. Too bad that we don't appreciate them as much as we should.

Mountains are incredible feats of nature. It makes you feel small, being next to something that big. A little bit, I think that's a good thing. Something cannot be big unless there is something small to compare it to. Otherwise its probably a little lonely. Being small isn't such a bad thing, either. None of our mistakes would matter to something like a mountain.
