I need help from my fellow scene kids!

I used to have a scene haircut, with all the layers and the fringe ans everything, but i haven't cut my hair in a long time, so basically i have to re do it. But recently i've seen that your hair has to be dry to be able to make a scene haircut, but my hair is curly (i straighten it), so i don't know what to do. I can't cut my hair dry because it's curly, but i don't know what would happen if i cut my hair wet, will there be a difference? I wanna cut my haie again, but i don't want to mess it up 😭
