But I see the truth in your eyes.
You blink away your deception and demise.
My heart breaks to see you comfortable in this space
space.
This lie suspended between us.
A part of me says it alone,
But how can I..
When repercussions to your actions turns
my heart to stone.

Betrayal is the inversion of trust. And trust is the precondition for all social relations. It hurts being lied, cheated or used by someone you once made yourself vulnerable. Even worse when they refuse to accept responsibility for their actions and worse yet when they proclaim not to care and are comfortable within this space as you put it. That will surely turn one's heart to stone.
Sorry you're going or already went through such hardship. I'm currently recovering from my recent lived experience. Hope all is well.
