blog stands for weblog, it's basically an online diary and it can be about anything. your personal life, fashion, cooking, literally anything. when you run a blog you'd typically keep posting on it as if writing in a journal really. most websites run by a regular person are blogs, unless it's a news article or something from a company. there are also websites and apps made for people to share their blogs as opposed to creating your own website for it. sites like spacehey have blogging features too. an entry is "the action of recording an item in a diary, list, etc." , it doesn't only mean something to be reviewed in a competition.
