I FUCKING HATE WINDOWS 11

1. the features automatically set on/off are shit and you have to manually change them

2. it's probably a lot heavier on your PC than previous, simpler operating systems

3. THE GUI IS FUCKING HORSE SHIT, BRING BACK WINDOWS 7 YOU FUCKERS

Sometimes I forget that there are actually people who use Windows 11.

i'm too stupid to change it

I'm too stubborn to change my current Windows 10 laptop into a Windows 11 laptop (software and hardware wise).

The A"I" bullshit currently happening with Windows 11 also recently gave me yet another reason to not "upgrade". It's already bad enough with Windows 10 and I've heard it's even worse on 11.

And as a little side note, I recently got my laptop repaired after a backlight failure earlier this year back in May (after accidentally falling onto the floor by its side). I've since gotten some stupid offers from HP to replace it starting in June of this year (my 4 year warranty recently expired) and I'm like FUCK NO to the prospect of replacing this laptop any time soon, given both my absolute hatred of Windows 11 and concerns that I may not even be able to find any Windows 10 laptops for sale, plus the fact that it cost a few hundred dollars to repair my current laptop which is currently in perfectly working condition.

I mean, I think you could download an old version of Windows and run that instead, but it's complicated and a hassle and I get why you don't want to bother with that shit. I also don't want a Windows 11 laptop, so I hope mine still lasts long. If not, I'll either try to change the operating system or just do everything in a virtual machine.

i think it's time to consider linux guys

by _freaxx_; ; Report

I'd consider Linux if it was more compatible with certain applications that I use or am planning on using in the near future (especially older ones that might only run on Windows, for example). Maybe it could work as a dual boot or something.

Also, I've been considering the possibility of virtualboxing Windows 7 (preferably with SP1 or SP2 if possible) on my Windows 10 machine and am trying to figure out which applications would be compatible with that.

I'm staying on Windows 10 on my current laptop even after its end of life date in October 2025 and am highly considering virtualboxing Windows 7 or XP (not sure which one I should go with just yet).

Have to agree with you. GUI looks like the one from MacOS and if Windows 12 will look worse, atp I'm switching to Linux.
