Doing things alone > being with someone

Title kinda says it all, I honestly prefer doing a lot of things alone as opposed to going with someone. I find it weird when people are like "I can't imagine going to [x] without a friend/family", when usually it's something mundane like going to the movies, a park, or something else like that. If it's to something like a club or party, whatever, I'd get that since those are mainly social events, but to just anywhere I can go on an average day? Nah, I'm going alone. 

As to why I prefer going to places alone, it's just nice to have time to yourself and do things at your own pace instead of having to worry about other people (as selfish as that may sound). Like for example, going to a restaurant alone allows you to enjoy the food at your own pace, not have to worry about having the money to pay for everyone (unless if everyone pays for their own meal), and just feels more relaxed as opposed to going with someone. Means I can just eat while watching something or playing something, pay, and proceed to do other stuff. And for another example, going to a mall allows me to see everything I wanna see, buy what I wanna buy, and stay there for as long as I want, as opposed to going with someone and having to worry about where they are or what they're doing the whole time you're there too.

So yeah, that's pretty much why I'd prefer to go to places alone, but then again I might just be a lonely weirdo for thinking that. Then again even when I would have an irl friend group to go places with, I'd still prefer to just talk to them in-person (like at school or something when I still went) or online, as opposed to meeting up and going places, so it's not just a case of me having no (irl) friends that's leading me to think like this.
