Drawing Tablet Struggles

For the past while, my Huion Kamvas 22 Plus hasn't been working completely. It works like a monitor, but the stylus wasn't registering anymore. I didn't bother to try to figure anything out much for a long time due to the anxiety I get when it comes to devices but I finally had my younger brother set it up to his computer to see if we could figure anything else out.

It turns on just the same on his, but no stylus. This means that 1. my pc's ports still work. 2. the cord may be broken. 3. the whole tablet itself is somehow broken. 4. the stylus itself is broken.

Now, I can rule a few of these out.

The cord is what is likely broken due to me accidentally shoving my desk onto it so many times as my desk is very easy to move so it's just what happened.

The whole tablet being broken but specifically towards the stylus doesn't make any sense at all and I've never done anything to the tablet for that to even happen unless if it's just stupid faulty hardware.

The stylus could be broken as I've accidentally dropped and thrown it quite a few times but this still wouldn't make complete sense due to the drivers for the tablet saying tablet disconnected. Why would the pen effect that.

So, the only thing that truly makes sense is the cord being broken. Due to nothing being much of a loss with it, my brother opened the cord up and tried to look for damage but could not find any. I still think there is damage internally as there's this silver wire thing covering all the other wires, and he did not did deeper. Which, makes sense, it's probably difficult or something.

My solutions for this issue is to buy a new cord and see what happens. Or, just, RIP my 550$ tablet of barely two years and just use the backup smaller Huion tablet we have. Which honestly, I wouldn't mind using that tablet. I just mind that this tablet went to waste essentially.

For anyone trying to find a tablet to buy, I honestly don't suggest Wacom or Huion anymore. I feel as though the bigger brands don't really put much care into their products anymore. My Monoprice 22" tablet has lasted 5 years and still works to this day if I wanted to use it again. And that's some super obscure brand. And it works like a charm.
