are you an alternative or jfashion-obsessed person from the UK struggling to find shops, whether physical or online, that have clothes you actually like?? look no further!! i'm ruki, i'm a visual kei wearer and gyaru from the UK here to save the day (≧▽≦)
1. blue banana!!
first off, blue banana! bb is my FAVOURITE physical alt fashion store here, i've been going to it for years! it has absolutely everything from cutecore to gothic lolita to scene to punk. you can get piercings, jewellery, home decor, bags, coats, dresses, literally everything!! they have 13 physical stores and an online website, definitely go check them out!!
2. dreamy bows! :3
dreamy bows is a jfashion-based UK store carrying clothes from a LOAD of different styles like menhera, gyaru, lolita, fairy kei, tenshi kawaii and some more!! they're currently working with ACDC RAG and have worked with icons like kurebayashi (AHH!) in the past. from what i've seen they don't have any physical stores (only pop-ups) but they do have a website that ships worldwide!!
3. grumpy bunny UK ^^
i've never bought from grumpy bunny before, however they seem pretty reliable! grumpy bunny is a UK-based online shop selling jfashion clothes in the style of decora, fairy kei, tenshi kaiwai, menhera and a few more!! as always, be careful with online shops and always check reviews b4 you buy (╥﹏╥) here's their website!!
4. candy trap!!!
now, whilst candy trap TECHNICALLY isn't a UK store, they do ship to the UK and i love cybr.grl so much so i had to promote her T-T candy trap is a decora online store with pop-up shops dotted around america (if you ever go to the USA keep an eye out!!) made by youtuber cybr.grl! they have quite a few gyaru things as well, including a jacket that could 100% be used in a haady coord and i'm totally not jealous of anyone who has it... here's their website (╥﹏╥)
5. charity shops / thrift stores!
i know, crazy, right? the truth is, i've been able to find a lot of alt clothing including items from well-known brands like jawbreaker, hellbunny and golden steampunk and the majority of my gyaru wardrobe (when i haven't stolen things from my mom) at charity shops!! it's always worth having a look, you never know what you could find!!
alright, this is the end!! as always i'm gonna tag a helpful article from lizziebee's blog here if anyone is interested in where to find more gyaru clothing in the UK :3 i hope you guys are doing well!! stay safe, thank you for reading and feel free to comment if u have any suggestions for future blogs or alt shops in the UK!! i definitely want to start blogging more so be sure to keep a look out :3 okay byee!!
ruki
