Welcome back to the second episode of this series that I would like to continue but I cannot seem to find the time or energy to do so!
I would also like to announce that I will be making a video dedicated to the first 1000 albums that I have rated/reviewed on the RateYourMusic, which I am about 3 away from doing so.
With that being said here is the top 10 albums that I listened to for the first time in February:
- Freshman Year by Hop Along, Queen Ansleis
- Girl with a Basket of Fruit by Xiu Xiu
- Doopee Time by Doopees
- Titanic Rising by Weyes Blood
- Nebraska by Bruce Springsteen
- Insignificance by Jim O'Rourke
- How Can We Be Joyful in a World Full of Knowledge by Bruno Pernadas
- Microphones in 2020 by The Microphones
- The Age of Adz by Sufjan Stevens
- The Ascension by Glenn Branca
The releases that I listened to and gave my thoughts on are slim for February but I do want to highlight some:
- SOPHOMORE SLUMP CALLITTHUMP by STOMACH BOOK is a noisy, post-hardcore album with pitched up vocals and a rap rock verse in one of the songs. If you are a fan of the heavier side of emo or like post-hardcore at all, please listen to this. If you aren't, listen to it anyway! A t-girl needs to pay the bills too!
- 2093 by Yeat is quite possibly the strangest thing I have heard come out of the new internet rap scene. It is like standard yeat but he's talking about aliens and space and things like that.
