Okay, I admit it. I do like mechanical pencils. But only for artistic purposes. Writing with them is still underwhelming.
Ever since I got a small set of Sakura pens, I have been using the mechanical pencil that came with them a lot more. However, I still like my graphite pencils for more precise lines and shadows.
On my sketchbook, I use it to sketch, especially when I'm using colour, so that it's not too noticeable and doesn't dirty the colour.

There's something about sketching with them thats so satisfying, though I do agree they weren't made with shading I'm mind lol
I agree. I like sketching with them bc I have the tendency of drawing in small scales, so, thicker pencils are not the way to go. I use Sakura 125 0.5 and I love it.
I tend to make too much pressure with my materials, so, mechanical pencil help me regulate my monstrous strenght. :P
