I am tired of my eyes melting for trying to talk to my homies and I know you buckos are tired too. We just wanna browse comfortably. We must make this happen. ITS FAR OVERDUE.

for those of you saying it doesnt fit the theme of the website because its supposed to be like myspace, i know that myspace didn't have dark mode since dark mode only came out not too long ago to the media. But! a lot of social media didnt have dark mode, practically all of them made a dark mode, so whats so different from myspace?ย
if you don't want a light mode, thats 100% fine dude, im all about embracing the nostalgia feel๐ in sure An would make it an option for both light and dark mode, so u could keep it if there was a dark mode added.
people have sensory issues, i wear glasses and my eyes are sensitive, even with my brightness on low + night light!

also An has already said themselves "A nativ dark mode for spacehey has been on my to-do list for ages." so there would be one eventually when they get the time. They made an app, so why not try add a dark mode?ย
this is just my personal opinion and preference! Id like a dark mode, but if i have to wait for it then i will.

I think dark theme should be enabled everywhere. For profile settings, you need an additional checkbox in the settings, which will be disabled by default. Then custom layouts won't break.

as long as its like an optional ppl that can be turned on and off it sounds cool, lowk the white everywhere is nostalgic bc of the old internet and all but yeah itd be cool to see dark mode

there should at least be a dark mode for the home page and any page that doesn't involve a persons actual profile. adding dark mode options to peoples profiles, themes that they've worked on for hours, days, or even months doesn't feel fair and it'd be wonky. but yes they should add a dark mode even if myspace didn't have one back in its heyday.

I know a couple people are against the idea, but a dark mode would be SO helpful for people (myself included) with sensitive eyes. Aside from that, it makes reading at night so much easier, ya aint gotta blind yourself.
