Cracking the Code of the Dead Internet
The Problem with Search Engines
Back in the day, before social media took over, I used to be able to build up a following for my webpages. But now, it seems like every other comment is from a Bot, and search engines just don't work like they used to. The search lists are censored or shadowbanned, and keyword searches are a thing of the past. Even boolean searches don't work because most parsers remove the stop words that boolean needs to function properly.
My Experience with Chatbots
I learned a lot about this when I was programming my own chatbot. It kept telling me to remove stop words, but I knew that stop words are essential for accurate searches. I'm trying to get people to buy my books and products from my online store, but search engines only seem to point to where they want you to go, not where you actually want to go.
Breaking the Feedback Loop
So, how do we break out of this feedback loop without having to program our own code or search engine? The solution is actually pretty simple and a little weird. Use synonyms and slang in your content. Whether you sound like a 1920s Dapper, a 1940s Mafia Don, or a pirate, using different language can override the removal of traditional stop words. It's a workaround that can help you stand out in the sea of online content.
Exploring Other Languages
I'm not sure if this trick works in other languages, but it's worth a try. Experiment with different language styles and see if it helps you break through the noise of the dead internet.
