notes for today's charity centre game, in no particular order;

so i volunteer. in this day and age, everyone should, in my opinion, but opinions are subjective and you're entitled to hiss at any help centre you see all you want. who am i to stop you.

but in any case, i do. not hissing, even though that was my trademark scare tactic in middle school: i play tabletop games with kids, i help them socialize and sometimes read through their homework if we're waiting for their parent stuck in the traffic.

and the hardest thing is make up a plot of the game. because see, it's a ttrpg, and the r-part requires some attention to the story. but not too much attention, because we only have two hours to play and the children that do change constantly with not enough exeptions to drag out the stories, and not too little, for they'll get bored and there's nothing worse than a bored child.

so it's like balancing on a tightrope above the pit with the cutest baby crocodiles who really-really want to roll dice and go on adventures.

today's theme is going to be "skeletons are coming to the rescue of their necromancer imprisoned in a magic prison for magic crimes", because they begged me for skeletons. do trials sound good? the classic heroic journey with a humerus twist?

see what i just did here?
it's hard not to. but you don't pick a bone with me for that. this is my blog, after all.
