books!!!, 02/24/24

So, I've ordered books since my last entry. I ordered Confessions by Kanae Minato, which I've finished. It was an enjoyable story about a teacher who gets revenge on two students for the murder of her young daughter. I bought Heaven by Mieko Kawakami, but I haven't finished it yet. I also ordered Brother by Ania Ahlborn, which was... a read! I finished it, and honestly, it was a bit underwhelming. The writing was corny and predictable, and from the recommendations, I expected much more instead of, quite frankly, whack storytelling and one-dimensional female characters. But, on a happier note, I've ordered the entire Harry Potter series because my sister was interested when I read the first few chapters with her, except she didn't express much interest when I showed her the physical book, so it seems I'll be reading them all on my own.
