on alt fashion, labels, and styles

tbh a while ago i told a friend of mine "idk if im alt" and he proceeded to gesture to my entire outfit and said "yes you are"

i guess i technically knew what alt was its just interesting how i never considered myself alt. i dress in very bright colors, vintage clothes, and honestly whatever is fun. i jokingly call my style "lesbian barbie fran fine", but today i went out of my way to look for actual alt subcultures and i found out what harajuku actually is, and wow, this is exactly the type of vibe i want to have.

i think its a very cool subculture, and from what i've been looking at its exactly the thing i want to achieve in my style :) and the whole attitude and beliefs of the culture also align with me really well

i think labels arent necessary but ultimately its always nice to find one that fits!!
