The Problem with Media

Recently I've found myself obsessing about the end of the world and how it will happen; I've found myself being consumed by theories online, predictive programming, and the elites trying to warn us, I'm consumed by it, and it is exhausting. I often find myself with a war within my mind, the rational versus the terrified theorist who believes the world is out to get them.

News outlets have always thrived off of gruesome headlines; it's in human nature to stare at a car crash; this is reflected in the news, finding positive and hopeful news articles get drowned in a sea of headlines about murders, the economic state of the world, the horrific acts of war raging on in other countries, the impending doom of the effects of climate change, the deep-rooted fear that the ultrarich are out to eliminate us. Social media boots this; it is a breeding ground for misinformation, news outlets have to be read over and approved to not cause mass hysteria while apps like tik tok don't have these regulations, which makes their headlines dramatized as a way of getting more clicks on their video's.

The effects of social media has played a huge hand in the increase of mental health issues by bringing our deepest fears and insecurities into a newfound light, a popular fear in media has been apocalyptic scenarios whether it be by a virus or a cataclysmic natural disaster, the fear of something wiping out humanity as we know it. These films often portray humanity as selfish, only saving their families and people they know; this is not rooted in reality, after disasters, there are many accounts of people describing how they were saved by someone else; and how they saved someone. There is a belief that people will attack each other if given the chance to, this is far from the truth, humans are not inherently evil, people thrive in communities being a part of something bigger than them.

AGREED
Though as someone who has been thinking about that sense i was a young child i have come to terms with that and just enjoy when it is good
If things go bad it will likely be over fast and if it isnt having the people you have built a relationship with will make it easier
