Going back to the Retro days of Content Creation

Having used social media for many years I realized its never been the same like more than 10 years ago. Today the focus is on the views, engagements and even recommendations as if it matters to someone who casually posts content. The days of self-expression are all gone. Now influencers shape the content creation landscape and content is moderated according to societal norms. One can argue anyone can post anything on social media as long its within the guidelines. But the reality is most of the content out there is influenced by a standard set by someone. It even goes to the point where some may feel uncomfortable breaking the conventions. 

Another factor is the increase in distractibility on social media. Even with notification blockers, today's SM Apps entices us with many things the moment we open it. As an aspiring content creator I have to go through the friction of consuming other people's content before creating my own. 

I hope to revive my days of self-expression in content creation through this platform. I may not be the best content creator, but I know what works best for me.
