Any Tips (This is Roleplay Based)

So i've been through alot recently, rather curious on someother ideas others have. 

Alot of my friends have been stuck in this universe that is currently being wiped out slowly by this guy who hates organic life, i've come up with a solution to make small machines that could take people home. This is going to atleast take a month to make (Limited time on this project.) enough that everyone gets back to their individual universe and even some won't leave without others. I'm at a loss. Any tips or any engineer ideas that could possibly help me get these people home?
