OK OK IK IM GONNA GET FUCKING SMITED AND DELETED OFF THE FACE OF THE EARTH BUT PLEASE TRY TO HEAR ME OUT!!!
so im an og monster high fan, been watching it since i can say "goo goo ga ga" so when i saw the newest versions of them such as Gen 2 and Gen 3, it made me so upset im sorry
but like the designs for gen 3 were really cute dont get me wrong but they just don't feel like the monster high i knew and loved. Take Abby for example, her new design is super cute and i actually really like it, but it just doesn't feel like Abby yk. Same with Clawdeen, im sorry but she would NOT dress like that, she's a fashion icon god dammit!! She went to fashion school in France only for her to dress like the Gen 3 design. Listen its a cute design but it just doesn't feel like highschool yk, i feel like these designs would have been better for if they were in middle school, i dont know if you catch my drift but thats what im trying to get at. I also heavily dislike Heath's design, and i think its self-explanatory, HE LOOKS SO FUCKING UGLY IM SORRY. Draculara's design ate though, except i really miss her pigtails :(
But Lagoona's design........I GOTTA SAY IT SHE LOOKS LIKE A 2020 TIKTOKER WHY IS HER SKIN PINK?!?!?!?
Gil though had a major fucking glowup, but what happened to his little bubble of water, he's a fresh-water fish and isn't like Lagoona. She can stay without water because the amphibian part of her allows her to breathe through lungs....but Gil does look sm better
Also Deuce.......his design is very nice but his glasses....i get they were trying to make it more trendy and cuter, but his glasses are not supposed to be see through. they were fully shaded for a reason and that is so he doesn't fucking turn people to stone!!
Y'all please do not bash or kill me, i just wanted to rant a little about this. the new designs are really pretty and im very glad they are including more body diversity and such....but the execution of the outfits and hair itself of the dolls/characters missed the mark.
And to those who do like the new generation of dolls, good on you! Im glad you enjoy them because they really are pretty and i wouldn't mind buying some myself (specifically draculara's)
Anyways thats all for my little rant, tysm for whoever reads this and again do not get mad, im a mere teen just stating their opinion and wanted to talk about this to someone

The biggest fucking downgrade of the century. I remember when they got cancelled bc some karens thought that they were too slutty and skinny(?)
Like the whole appeal of those dolls were the unique design and the fashion, now they all look straight out of a tiktok fyp and it's infuriating. The old dolls were TIMELESS, these new ones look like they will be ditched in 2 years max. The only one that ate was Cleo, the rest STARVED.
FR, IM SO HAPPY SOMEONE AGREES WITH ME! i dont mean to be a hater its just that the designs are such a downgrade from the original it infuriates me a little. The Gen 3 designs are just not the monsters we knew before

it was honestly a complete and meaningless rebrand. I understand that they have to make it appealing for the new generation of little girls but it's like they drained the characters of what made them unique. This rebrand could've been smth like My little pony, where they just made completely different characters, and they could've left gen 1 alone.
