In December of 2022, my best friend had the idea of having an "emo" Christmas party. This was funny since most of my friends were already what you'd consider "emo". Never once in my life had I dressed like that or even listened to the music, but I fully committed. I bought black lipstick for the first time and BTW - I have serious respect for people who can wear black lipstick. I had to reapply that stuff constantly.
My friend had a playlist going the whole time during the party. It was a mix of music, but mostly mcr.
I'd never gotten around to listening to them until that day. My interest was piqued when I realized I was enjoying the songs I was hearing.
On my drive back home, I put on a playlist of their greatest hits "just to try it". Long story short, that playlist is still used daily by me over a year and a half later.
I wish I'd gotten into their music sooner because it's amazing.
My favorites are probably Welcome to the Black Parade (obviously), Teenagers, Na Na (not writing all that lol), The Ghost of You, I Don't Love You, and there's tons more but I don't have time for all that.
Does anyone have a favorite mcr song?

ahh i remember when i was super into mcr when i was younger. great band, this post makes me want to add some songs back to my playlists lol

So true!!! I listend to them when i was like in 9th grade and fell in love with them, my favorite song must be mama or this is how i disappear or I never told you what I do for living
