Darkromance book rant

As someone who likes books and will injoy a darkromance book time to time i hate the fact that almost every darkromance (il just say DR) book there is some form of SA, a exampe of this is Hunting Adeline (some spoilers) in the story there are many times in the story but the main one is when zade SA Adeline with his gun. As someone who was SA'd before i dont care that its fiction it goes against everything SA victims go through and it also shows how people will always defend his actions because its fiction or because it only happened once, and i also understand that people can like the book without liking that part but still. i have also seen people say that its ok because its DR and no its not and unfortunately this isnt the only book that SA happens in, sometimes i feel like DR is a way for people to get off to it without feeling wrong (and in some cases they are but as someone who has been SA'd i have had that same problem and i feel disgusting afterwards so im not saying people cant feel bad afterwards) and books like these just show who have their morals in check

thanks for reading my rant and if you like Hunting Adeline thats ok i was simply just using it as a example, i also like DR but this is something that makes me want to rip my skin off every time its normalized in DR or really any books unless its a plot point (like the books about someones journey healing from SA) or if its being handled with the right care
