Okay so. Taylor Swift. We all know her, love her, hate her, wanna be her, wish everyone would shut up about her. And I'm sure you've all gotten tired of the COUNTLESS articles about her (and her new song inspo boyfriend, Matt Kelce) BUT! Who wants to hear a bored, sick, should be doing her homework, 16 year old's take on all this? You do? Aww, ty :)

WHO TF IS TAYLOR?

Okay so, to begin! Incase you live under a rock and don't know who she is, lemme give you a quick rundown. Taylor Alison Swift is an American singer-songwriter. She became popular at the age of 14 with her first album titled 'Taylor Swift' in 2006 and then the album 'Fearless' in 2008. I don't have much else to say cuz... I'm not a Swfitie lol. But yeah. She's a pretty fucking popular person. She has a shit ton of fans (mostly white girls), she started out as a country singer and men hate her (conservative mostly) because she encourages people to vote (lmao??). She's notorious for making songs about her ex boyfriends (of which she has a LOT) and people like to make fun of that. She entered controversy recently (idk like 2022?) when she started dating Matt Healy, singer in the popular indie-pop band The 1975,  who is known for being a raging racist!!! People were, justifiably, upset about this. Oh and Superbowl men were mad cuz WoMeN were watching the Superbowl since Taylor was there supporting her man. Like okay... emotional immaturity say what? Anywho, since then, it's jst been drama over drama iver drama. and i for one, am sick of it. 

WHAT THE HELL SHE DO NOW?

So, the main reason people are upset right now is because of her win at the Grammys. She's won AOTY (Album of the Year) for the 4th time in a row and it's making people realize that the Grammys are.. terrible?? #OscarsSoWhite round 2 anyone? People are making all sorts of, honestly, very valid points. Like for example, Beyonce, despite winning 32 Grammys, has never won AOTY. What the fuck?? I brought this up to my Intro to Psych/Soc/Anthro teacher and she said, "But that is because she has a certain demographic." She loves saying POC when she means Black people but that's a diff blog chile. Anyways, back to the topic. I call BS. Yes I agree that Bey probably has a lot more black fans but.. wtf does that have to do with the Grammys? Taylor has mostly white fans, does that mean that having yt fans will guarantee you a Grammy? I also find it so funny that Taylor won RIGHT AFTER Jay Z's speech lawl. 

Controversy numero dos is her jet emissions. Yeah,, miss girl be taking tew many flights. Obvi, she's not single handedly killing the earth BUTTT... she sure as hell is trying to LMAOO. OK but no srsly. WOW! She takes flights like every 10 seconds. Girl at that point, pls jst walk there. But anyways, yeah ppl have been yelling at her at her abt this for a while but she pretends she can't hear. Fake ass white girl strikes again and we act surprised?? Okay.. Anyways, this dude named Jack Sweeney who tracks famous peoples flights and their carbon emissions. Elon Muskrat already tried suing his ass and... it didnt work. So Taylor decided to try her hand at it and nobody is happy lmao. She claims that it's to prtect herself from stalking, which okay yeah. Fair. Nobody wants to be stalked. But i promise you if a ni*** wanted to stalk you, they would not be using Jack's twitter. PLUS! He uses info that's already public. Im sure whatever stalker out there has already looked that shit up theirselves. But I digress

MY OPINIONS

Listen, I don't hate her. I literally could give less shits about her im ngl. But I do agree with people that say she is calculative and she has manipulated her image. Cuz yeah, I jst KNOW she a mean ass hoe under all that but I also.. dont care <3 I dont listen to her music, never have never will, not my thing, yadda yadda. Taylor's just a girl and hey shes making money so idk what u gonna do? Right? World's built for white people just sucks that everybody else gotta get caught in the weird racial crossfire.
