I think 45% of all the bulletins that I com across here are, "How do I add images to my page/blog/bulletin/whatever?" So, here. Here's the once and for all, the definitive guide on how to add images to SpaceHey things.
Why doesn't SpaceHey have an image gallery?
Because it's fucking expensive. You have to pay for upload storage space. You have to pay for bandwidth. You have to maintain those servers and install blockers for hot linking. SpaceHey is free and is being supported by sticker sales. An may have amazing solutions for a lot of these issues, but after a while, you just need a fuckton of money to support 300,000 users uploading 5,000 selfies.
OK, so where do I upload my images?
After doing a bit of research, I think most SpaceHey users' best bet is to go to imgbb.com and use this service. It's easy, it's fast and it provides the one thing every SpaceHey user needs to share a photo: a direct URL.
Step one: acquire your photo and save it to your computer. Step two: go to imgbb and click the Upload button. Choose the image. Step three: Once it's uploaded, you'll see a dropdown menu; select HTML Full Linked and find the URL after "img src="; that's your image. Copy that URL. I wish this was easier, but it's not :( Step four, add it to SpaceHey:
WYSIWIG: Click the Image button and paste the URL in the associated box.
HTML: You'll use this code in any field that supports HTML but isn't in a WYSIWYG editor:

im having a similar problem but im not sure how ro add more than one photo when using the insert link option

i was having an issue too until i realized i have to like okay idk how to explain it but the insertion cursor cant be touching the image like you have to click enter twice so its really not touching the photo. make sure the cursor is under the image and then you can add another link

Are you copying the link or copying the image address? For me it didn't work until I specifically put in the image address!!

This works very well for blog post images! Tysm. Btw I used https://postimages.org/ to host my images. It's free. For anyone confused, add your images using the <> View Html icon in the blog editor. Then paste the code. It should look like this: https://pastebin.com/p9kQycrc

im not sure if i just dont know how to trouble shoot but when i follow these instructions it seems to upload the image and then it just blips out of existence before i can post it ><

hey!! so just a question, whatre ya meant to do if the files too big? do ya know any sites that can make it smaller?(sorry if this at night, timezones are a pain lol)

i would suggest compressing your image first before uploading. not to worry though, there's tons of online image compressors. this is the one i regularly use, it's free too:

after you've compressed it, i think you should upload your images to catbox https://catbox.moe/ instead, because the link i checked for "imgbb" seems to ask you to pay for stuff. Catbox is totally no-bs free, just upload it and copy your link! i used catbox for profile backgrounds and stuff.

When I put the images in it works but after a while it turns my images blue and says that I need registration to upload photos to imgbb
