am i uninformed for this take?

How come people are so selective abt what conflicts they choose to educate others abt it and stuff. Like for example a bunch of people post abt palestine and some abt congo and what not but no one posts abt how tourism is slowly killing hawaii or how indigenous people are still being taken everywhere? Like people will shame people for not posting about palestine or about their stance on it but not give the same energy for other current urgent issues?
