Can we get a"downvote" with kudos?

Reddit has downvoting, so why can't we take away kudos to bad blog posts? It should be that simple right? The blogging front page is supposed to have the best posts, and kudos and be spammed. The solution would be giving bad post "downvotes" by blog readers and community members.
