<ENG> Why you HAVE TO listen to WEEN!!!

I would like to start by saying that, first of all, English isn't my first language, which I think is pretty much really noticeable. now let's get into the music recommendation!!!!!

Some background of the band, Ween is a band of whatever, literally because they have dived into completely different genres of music, such as: Lofi, Pop Punk, Sea Shanties, Country Music, etc.

The founding members are Gene and Dean Ween (The stage names of Aaron Freeman and Mickey Melchiondo) who met at a typing class. Later on, Dave Dreiwitz, Glenn McClelland, and Claude Coleman Jr would join the band.

Why Ween? Well, the name is a fusion between the words wuss and penis (somehow very creative), and their logo is Boognish, this mythical demon who appeared to Gener and Deaner a long time ago.

They make transgressive music, in the early albums you can see it through the use of inappropriate language and pretty much fuck up music, which here we call "brown", brown means when you do something fuck up but in a good way, for example, the song Up On The Hill from the first album, GodWeenSatan.

It is important to mention that some songs or albums (mostly the early works) may seem offensive, but I must say that it is only the music that has this spirit, because they as people are pretty chill and they are a rainbow band, having gay, jewish and black members. They only have a Un-PC spirit, but this doesn't make them bad people.

They have 11 studio albums published, 7 live albums, that start from the 90s to the 2010s.

My recommendations (albums):

  1.  Quebec
  2. Chocolate And Cheese
  3. The Pod
  4. The Mollusk

My recommendations (songs):

  1. Freedom Of 76
  2. Dr. Rock
  3. Demon Sweat
  4. Don't Sweat It
  5. Mutilated Lips
  6. Zoloft
  7. Tried And True
  8. Even If You Don't
  9. Don't Get 2 Close (2 My Fantasy)
  10. The Rainbow

Weenfact: Matt Stone and Trey Parker (YEAHHH THE SOUTH PARK CREATORS) directed a Ween music video (Even If You Don't), also Ween appeared on Chef Aid and played at the South Park 25th Anniversary Concert.
