The bewitching crescent moon continued to shine brightly as the illuminated reflections of distant stars reflected off of the surface of the dimmed shallow pond. With vacant surroundings, the only noises heard around this time was the violent wailing of the screeching wind. However, in the far off distance, beyond the quiet undertone of the damp soil beneath everyone’s feet, something could be heard. Something harsher than anything imaginable. The sound of weeping souls. Souls which cried, yelped, and begged for mercy; but just didn’t receive any.
Suddenly, in the distance, footsteps, one after another, could be heard as they slowly gained pace & came ever closer. Kicking up rocks in their path every two or so steps. They then began to wander in a mysterious & diverse pattern of soft taps as if they were lost in the mist. That’s when those very footsteps were revealed, only to belong to a lone child. A short, puny, & obnoxious black haired boy with a messy hairdo strolled across the minimal amount of land that stretched as far as only a large carpet. The child released a sigh of relief as he pummeled to the ground below breathing incredibly heavy, for reasons unknown. Many various people attend to this majestic body of water, the reasoning tends to stay the same no matter how many appear. They all either seek forgiveness for their past wrongdoings & come here to run away or come here to find themselves after & amongst the chaos of the world’s society to be at peace once again. This child couldn’t possibly be any different from the many groups of people who appear with miserable expressions & more. All traveling to this exact body of water to release their sorrows similar to those before them.
Nonetheless, since this child attended this lake at such an early age, it was so peculiar it could almost be counted as remarkable; although, he couldn’t possibly be here for a good reason. The child then softly began sobbing everlasting tears of despair, these depressing tears of his could be heard from seemingly a mile away. With his sobbing growing ever so louder, the reasoning for such powerful tears was unknown, but that’s fine; not everything needs an explanation. The boy continued to sob until his breath gave out, his tears glistening brightly in the elegant night sky. The water’s accurate reflection reminding him of what it was all for. It was all for this.
