Age, Spacehey, & Making friends

I guess I should first start this off by saying, this is obviously not a site "issue", but alot of the members of this site are from the range of 13-17, or atleast the new accounts claim to be that range. I'm a 24 year old which basically makes me a boomer is most of their eyes & I feel its weird for ME to add someone younger than me. I will admit on Discord I'm friend with alot of younger users but all of them have added me, not me going out of my way to add them. I really feel like I can't use this the platform or relate to most of the members. I feel like it would be easy to make friends on the forum section but i also feel like that section is a little too slow for me to have an actual conversation, If there was a live chatroom maybe it would be easier?

Overall, I wish more there was some kind of public chatroom besides the clunky forums. I'm also glad there is a great interest in the "classic internet" from younger users, but I also wish it was easier to find people around my age, who are active on this site, so I would have more reason to use it.

Am i the only one who feels this way?
