my thoughts on the fnaf movie from a non fnaf fan

okay honestly i was preparing to be disappointed when i went into the theatre to watch it and i was, but not for the reason i originally thought it was going to be?

my expectations for this movie were that it was going to be some shitty b-horror movie that was more fun to watch for the fan service-y easter eggs (matpat being there and whatever) than for the actual horror, and. well. they pulled a brave

they turned it into a heartwarming family story. five nights at freddy's. the fandom where the dad inadvertently kills his daughter and just keeps her corpse around in the animatronic he built. ok

i loved the small details, the little references they threw in there for the fans, and i LOVED that they got shaggy to play william afton, but all in all during the movie i was just kind of bored? idk if you should take my word for it on that because i have the attention span of a goldfish but it just really didn't hit. they strayed pretty far off from the original story and turned it like?? sweet?? they gave it a moral?? and i think that was not the direction they should have gone

am i disappointed in the fnaf movie? yes. was it boring? yes. did i enjoy watching it? no. did i laugh in the movie theatre when matpat made his cameo? yes

was the shitty movie worth it to hear matpat saying "that's just a theory" in a real film that hit theatres? maybe .....
