Bigoted X-Men fans are stupid.

Since X-Men '97 is getting pretty hyped up, (As it should be) I've seen tons of praise and excitement among X-Men fans. But, there are some fans who've been giving some very dumb criticism regarding the show. They've basically been saying something like...

"X-Men is starting to go too woke! I miss the old X-Men!"

People have been saying something along the lines of this because of Morph, who in the show, will be nonbinary. And honestly, it makes sense that they'd be nonbinary! They're a shapeshifter, after all. They are literally beyond gender. 

Also, people have also been complaining about the newspaper clipping in the trailer including a Muslim woman. Honestly, it's literally not that big of a deal. She was in a single newspaper clipping, for God's sake. God forbid that religions differing from your own get even the SLIGHTEST bit of representation in media.

Also, saying that X-Men is "getting too woke" makes zero sense. Have they even picked up a comic book? The X-Men is about minorities (mutants) fighting against the oppressor. (humans/non-mutants) The X-Men is a metaphor for real minorities in our society fighting the very real oppression that they face. It was "woke" from the beginning. I say woke in quotations, since that is how bigoted people tend to refer to issues/topics that do not correspond with their beliefs being represented more and more in the media they consume.

Don't call yourself a fan of the X-Men if you're a bigot. End of story.
