2.16.2024: my friend is in love???

⋆ ˚｡⋆୨୧˚ Imma be so for real, when and if I blog, like right now, it's gonna be about gossip, drama, and a little shit talking (though I try not to just shit talk). ˚୨୧⋆｡˚ ⋆

  My friend Rose (fake names ofc) just started dating a guy in our friend group, and good for her, but she's so pretty. She fits all the conventional beauty standards, she's short, curvy, has amazing makeup skills, and confident in herself, I love her, truly, and the guy she's dating is... well he wears boat shoes and has a half grownin neck beard. (Gonna call him Jake bc I'm super creative.) And they were both so desperate to get into a relationship just for the relationship.

  For example, Jake is usually an online dater. Nothing wrong with that, but he doesn't have the best history of long term relationships because of it. Even in irl. He dated a freshman in our school who was basically notorious for her Snapchat stories (NSFW) and I'm pretty sure she only dated Jake to get back at her boyfriend. So Jake got into a relationship with my friend Rose after his little heartbreak.

  What hurts the most is I know Rose is 100% in love with this man, and he's sweet, but he's not as pretty as she sees him to be through her rose tinted glasses. I feel a bit mean when she shows me photos and goes "Look how pretty he is. He looks like Kit Connor!" and I respond with "Yeahh... I'm so happy for you." (It's been two days, girl, and he does not look like Kit Conner.) Yet she's an I fall in love with souls not looks type of person or at least she says that. I think it's so funny that she says that and immediately turns to me and goes, "I need to change his wardrobe." I laugh but she's not wrong, it's nothing but sweatpants, sweatshirts, and grandpa shoes. 

  But honestly it might work out because they're both theater kids and I honestly don't know how those things think. <3
