And Hell Followed with It: Life and Death in a Kansas Tornado- Bonar Menninger (5 stars)

As a storm spotter/chaser, this book truly hit home. I live in western Kansas, and I have seen my fair share of destructive tornadoes in my 30 years. My best friend's mom was 6 years old and lived through the Topeka tornado. She says she will never forget it. This was an amazing book and I'm very glad I gave it a chance. I don't normally read non-fiction books. Every page puts you right in the tornado's bath, as if you were actually there. If you have a chance to read this book, please do so!

Postcards From Summer- Cynthia Platt (5 stars)

I loved this book. It made me tear up a few times, but it is truly a good book if you don't shed some tears? It's kind of like music, if it doesn't make you feel things, then it's not worth a darn. I truly enjoyed it.

The Escape Room- Megan Goldin (5 stars)

I absolutely loved this book! I usually have a hard time reading and getting into books unless they are of the young adult genre, but this one caught my attention and held my attention.

This Is Where It Ends- Marieke Nijkamp (5 stars)

Absolutely eye opening. This book made me feel like I was right there in the middle of the action. I cried a ton! This book was amazing. I've never read anything like it before. It was so good that it didn't take me very long to read. I started it on October 30th and finished on October 31st. It is hard to put down!

All We Have Left- Wendy Mills (5 stars)

This is a fiction book about September 11th, but it was one of the best books I've ever read. It made me cry, and when I say I cried, I mean I sobbed. It was worth it.

Monster High series- Lisi Harrison (5 stars)

The Monster High series is absolutely amazing. It teaches that it is okay to be different. In a world where we are divided, this book shows us how to come together. I wish she would have written more books for this series. (There are only 4)

Never Forget: An Oral History of September 11- Mitchell Fink (5 stars)

I read this book a few years ago and the stories brought me to tears. Stories by people who experienced this horrible even firsthand. It is absolutely worth the read!

Justa's Escape: A Journey from WWII Ukraine- Justina Neufeld (4 stars)

This book only took me a few hours to read. I gave it 4 stars because I wish there was more detail. I admire this woman for everything she has gone through. Turns out, she lives in Kansas! I hope to be able to meet her someday! She lives about 3 hours from me.
