crystals and shit.

i have no idea what the fuck im doing.

i think that crystals are a nice thing to have regardless if you believe in their energies and whatnot. something about being able to wear a piece of jewellery or hold something and think “im going to be OK.” is really nice. personally i do believe in their abilities. its part of the reason i collect them, ive quite the menagerie now. id hardly call myself a pro or anything in the art of collecting but not so much a beginner. 

my first crystal was an amethyst. a gift. gifted crystals arent always the best as its better to choose a crystal yourself, to feel a deep connection to it. thats how you know which one to purchase. thats why im so deeply connected to my carnelian and aventurine. (hes a crocodile. yet to be named, i believe.) 

now thats not to say that gifting crystals is bad, unwanted or taboo. just my personal opinion that itd be better to bring the person into the market to see what they connect with best. that way theyll find it easier absorbing the good energy instead of fumbling and feeling awkward with it.

again. not a pro. ive much to learn about crystals, even the ones i own. their properties and how best to store them. just last week i learned i should be keeping my carnelian and amethysts apart. yikes on that one. peace has been restored. i keep mine situated on my windowsill to keep them moonlit-charged, though id be better finding some direct sunlight when the summer returns to really give them a good charge. its been a while. they need some TLC.
