turns out dust can cause bit flips
when memtest was running it'd throw errors with the address outcome where all the 2nd and 3rd bits of the memory address were wrong but the rest were correct
and for whatever reason...
the RAM voltages and timings were different which caused my computer to not even want to boot into BIOS
i have no idea why it happened, but at least it is done
my leg still hurts, and i wish i could do more than just laying in bed all day trying to heal this ; i'm pretty sure i've managed to strain it
