First music festival

First music festival 10/2/24

So last Saturday I attended my first music festival with my cousin!! Im so glad it wasn't only 18+. This was my first time being in the mosh and holy shit now i need to be there at every concert. My favourite acts were Steve Lacy, Dominic Fike and Faye Webster. I also saw Vacations first and d4vd. Omg it was so hot like 27 degrees celsius. thats pretty warm. it was supposed to be cooler. im glad it wasn't though. there were a lot of water stations thank god. 

Highlights:

୨୧ free maccas chocolate ice cream

୨୧ guy next to me took my phone to film better (he was super tall)

୨୧ got to hear dominic fike sing a bit of last nite by the strokes

୨୧ faye played not kiss!! eeee

୨୧ steve lacy read someones sign and played pride!!

୨୧ girl went on stage (during aj treacy) and rapped really well with him

୨୧ fried rice and honey chicken after

୨୧ stayed in the city

If im being honest at first it was a little overwhelmed. ig it was super hot and everyone was just squashed together. really sweaty lmao. but then i got used to it and it was sooo worth it. I was so close to the front. Maybe row 4 from the barricade. thanks to my cousin who got us through. okay what i learnt from her:

୨୧ apparently festivals r more chill than if you were to push through at a concert. maybe bc people are high lol or on something 

୨୧ if you want to get a setlist, make friends with the security guard and ask at the end (shes gotten one from paramore and also u can get guitar pics and drumsticks maybe???) literally just say anything

okay next i gotta go to a rave with my friend. we just gotta find some good ones!! im so happy i got to experience this. i cant wait for next year when i can go to way more.
