i know it's highkey controversial but does anyone else feel like cannibalism is such an intimate thing? and the idea of it being used as a metaphor to explain how much you want to be with/near someone is so beautiful. my favorite poems are the ones that are basically "i love you and i need you to be as close as possible to me, even if that means consuming you;" also !! it reminds me of that book Where the Wild Things are, yk? "please don't go, we'll eat you up, we love you so," and that book had such a lasting impact on my idea of love as a young child, that i feel like the literature and poetry that i consume today almost pays tribute to that? idk maybe i'm being weird and everyone thinks i'm a freak and i need to be institutionalized but i think it's beautiful.
okay thanks for humoring me.
ciao.

OMG YES!! Finally someone who gets it! I was literally talking about how romantic and intimate cannibalism is to someone here yesterday. It's like the most intense expression of love both from the side of the person consuming and being consumed and is one of my favourite tropes in fiction
