Moving to another country expirience

Heya! So I decided that I want to know how people deal with the stress after moving to another country?

----------------------

I'll share my story 1st:

When I was 18 I already knew I want to move from my country (BY) to neighbour country (PL).

At that age I already learnt the language on B2 level what gave me acess to pass interview to university (I wanted(?) to learn french filology). I was saving money for about one year and with a little help of my family and my hard work at the restaurant as cook I saved about 900 euros. I was hoping that would be enough for 2 month before I'll find work because I had no rights to get scholarship, because my tax history was big enough in my country & if I even try to ask for scholarship next year - I'll don't get it (sad face).

Btw - September 30, After 1,5 day on border betwen 2 countries me n my Dad had passed it and we were on the way to Warsaw where we had to separat because I needed to go to south of country and Dad on north. I found a guy who was on the way to my destination city so I called him and around 12 pm I was near the dormitory - my new home.

So, I thought 900 euros was not enough and here was the start point of all my problems. I came to PL at Saturday, which means - like in all europan countries only few shops were open 24/7 and they were overpriced as hell.

Next - bank account. Just like previous, banks were closed till monday.

All necessary things I needed to do, buy etc. I had to do this in barely on week. Registration in dormitory, foreigners document's like Karta Stalego Pobytu (Permanent residence card), bank account, finding work etc. I had no Idea what to do, so after a month of living in PL with barely no money, no work and no access to go home because my visa expired and the semester is still on going I was feeling empty. In the middle of november I applied to McDonald's because in my country nobody cares you have English language B2 level (even if u have certificate). After a month of working at McDonald's I understood that I don't like this place, so I started to search for cleaning work. I was jobless literally one day because my application for dishwasher/kitchen help was viewed and they invited me. To make a long story short - I working here for about 2 months, still miss my homeland, one-step to get kicked out from university because I didn't thought french language is (not piece of cake). Ok it sounds amazing and well payed but HELL NO if I would try again to learn it in uni. I'm thinking to find courses to get new skills and job and I want to change my program to Film studies and new media, Because I love Filming, photography, videogames and other pop culture things.

----------------------------

So the story was a little bit longer but the answer still open - how u deal with stress after moving to another state/country/city?

Because, in my case, I waas baking a lot. It's cheap, it's tasty and I have good metabolism which helped me to stay fit during this period of my life :P

I know but I'm not into that. I prefer cigarrettes and a lil bit of alcohol
