Caifanes

Genre: Alternative Rock/Post Punk

Caifanes was formed in 1986 in Mexico City and achieved international fame with it's unique style. His influences are diverse such as King Crimson and The Cure.

The band has 8 members in total:

Saúl Hernández, Alfonso André, Diego Herrera, Sabo Romo, Alejandro Marcovich, Juan Carlos Novelo, Santiago Ojeda y Yann Zaragoza.

Considered by critics as one of the most innovative bands in Latin American rock during the 20th century.

The band broke up in 1996 as a result of the increasingly tense relationship between two members (Marcovich and Hernández). However, in 2010 they announced their return to play at the 2011 Vive Latino Festival.
