Psalm 37:4-6: Commit Your Way to the Lord Delight yourself in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the Lord; trust in him, and he will act. He will bring forth your righteousness as the light, and your justice as the noonday
For ‘Whoever desires to love life and see good days, let him keep his tongue from evil and his lips from speaking deceit; let him turn away from evil and do good; let him seek peace and pursue it. For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, and his ears are open to their prayer. But the face of the Lord is against those who do evil’” (1 Peter 3:10-12).
I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me” (Galatians 2:20)
1 Thessalonians 4:11 In-Context 11 and to make it your ambition to lead a quiet life: You should mind your own business and work with your hands, just as we told you, 12 so that your daily life may win the respect of outsiders and so that you will not be dependent on anybody
Live a quiet life, and obey the Lord your God in all things. Acknowledge him in whatever you do, give him thanks for everything, even the little things. Do not hesitate to talk about the Lord or spread his word or the gospels. Do not accept anything of the world, you do not belong to the world because you belong to Christ, be glad about this and rejoice in the Lord. Because of this, you should obey the Lords commandments and the words of Jesus Christ, he tells us to love one another as ourselves, spread the word of the Lord, be kind, be giving, and many other things! the Lord loves a happy giver.
Be humble towards the Lord and one another.
Galatians 6:3 in Other Translations 3 For if a man think himself to be something, when he is nothing, he deceiveth himself. 3 For if anyone thinks he is something, when he is nothing, he deceives himself. 3 If you think you are too important to help someone, you are only fooling yourself. You are not that important.
This is one of my favorite verses, we are not more or less than the next person. God sees us equally as his children, we cannot be better than the next person when we are sinners and we deserve the same fate, which is hell. Do not ever think of yourself more than someone else to bring them down, instead lift them up and help them, show them the love of the Lord our God and do not hesitate to be a helping person or a giver
Thank you for reading, God bless you all!! :)

For what it's worth, I don't feel like you or anyone deserves hell...
To think of ourselves and others as nothing...it's a little extreme, isn't it?
I do like the general message of remaining humble. We could use more of that in the world. Just some of the way the Bible gets that message across disturbs me.
There's a fine line between being humble and self-hating.

Being humble is understanding your faults and acknowledging that you aren’t different from anyone else. I feel like the Bible deeply empathizes humility as something very important since it’s the opposite of pride, which is the deadliest sin.
We all deserve hell because everyone has come short to Gods divine standards, but we are redeemed through Jesus Christ who loves us, we want supposed to hate ourselves or literally think of us as nothing, it’s simply saying that we shouldn’t think of ourselves as having or being more than others.
Please don’t think of yourself as nothing, God deeply values you!! And everyone else as well. I’m sorry that this came out as confusing and I hope that this is helpful maybe

Thanks for the clarification of meaning and no problem! Sometimes it's tough for me to decipher between what is meant to be literal and what is more proverbial.
While I don't share the faith, I have a lot of friends that do and the topic comes up sometimes. So in a way it helps me to understand them better by understanding more of the context of the passages.

Of course! A lot of the bible has metaphors and it’s not meant to be taken literal
That’s great! i hope that you get a better understanding and sometimes it’s good to read it for yourself, just ask them or me if you have any more questions, may you be blessed!!
