1 Corinthians 13:4–8 Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never ends. As for prophecies, they will pass away; as for tongues, they will cease; as for knowledge, it will pass away

1 Corinthians 13:13 So now faith, hope, and love abide, these three; but the greatest of these is love.

Colossians 3:14 And above all these put on love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony

1 John 4:7-8 Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God, and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God. Anyone who does not love does not know God, because God is love.

1 Peter 4:8 Above all, keep loving one another earnestly, since love covers a multitude of sins

1 Peter 3:9: Do not repay evil for evil or reviling for reviling, but on the contrary, bless, for to this you were called, that you may obtain a blessing.

Romans 12:14, 17-19: Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse . . . Do not repay anyone evil for evil. Be careful to do what is right in the eyes of everyone. If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone. Do not take revenge, my dear friends, but leave room for God’s wrath, for it is written: “It is mine to avenge; I will repay,” says the Lord.

Proverbs 20:22: Do not say, “I will repay evil”; wait for the Lord, and he will deliver you

Matthew 22:34-40 

The Greatest Commandment 34 Hearing that Jesus had silenced the Sadducees, the Pharisees got together. 35 One of them, an expert in the law, tested him with this question: 36 “Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?” 37 Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’[a] 38 This is the first and greatest commandment. 39 And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’[b] 40 All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.

Don’t repay evil with evil, instead bless those who curse at you and leave the rest to the Lord, he is fair and he knows what is right. All you have to do is to stay quiet, do not curse at them or this will make you both just as bad. Instead remain quiet and humble and the Lord will be pleased with this. 

Psalm 147:6 ESV: “The LORD lifts up the humble; he casts the wicked to the ground”

Romans 12:14 NIV; “Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse”

Ephesians 4:29 NIV “Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen”

James 1:19-20 ESV “Let every person be quick to hear, slow to speak, slow to anger; for the anger of man does not produce the righteousness of God. ”
