Minecraft is not fun as it was [And maybe it's your fault.]

Nostalgia is a really hard feeling. We are feeling nostalgia in every way possible through memories, places or things that were really special in our life. Minecraft may be one of those. Yes, I know the title it's really accusatory in some way. I've been playing Minecraft for a long time, most specifically since 2015. People always says that Minecraft lost the magic, but I don't think so. 

Maybe we lost that magic.

I want to start talking about the new updates of the game, because there is a lot of controversy about it. I understand everything about it, it's really frustrating how Mojang it's doing things like the Mob Votes and the lazy updates. It seems like everything that Minecraft did excellent with the updates is never gonna comeback. You saw the update that had those UGLY bamboo blocks? That was totally wrong, and don't get me even talking about the loot. (There is no loot at all)

But, you can play the old updates, right? People forget this, and I'm glad that you can still play old updates from an official way through the launcher.

I tried playing old updates, and it was more fun than playing the new. I think we got too confortable with things like trades and mending. So, getting in a old update and seeing that they don't exist, makes you play the game in a way you are not confortable.

Searching for an specific enchantment becomes something really hard, and that's really good! 

In a time when speedrunning Minecraft is kinda mainstream, we are doing that unconsciously. We get to iron in less than 10 minutes, you make your diamond armor in less than 1 hour, etc.

And that's what I meant with the title, you remember old Minecraft as a fun game because you were not rushing it. You were actually enjoying it. Building your little house, exploring all the world has to offer... Instead of doing a lot of technical stuff in your whole world as an excuse to keep playing the world. I'm not saying that technical things in Minecraft are bad, but maybe you should focus more on the other things the game has to offer, you know? That's why all the old Minecraft worlds are special, they are doing insane builds with limited type of blocks.

It's not really weird seeing that Beta 1.7.3 is getting popular. I tried playing it, and it has some magic to it. I tried playing the Xbox 360 Edition and it was fun too! 

So, with all of that, I really recommend you to try playing Old Minecraft, you will not regret it. Maybe you'll get the magic that you really want to have from old times. Thank you.
