Here is a list of all of the shows I saw in 2023!
Feb 18th -ROCKZILLA- the second leg - ft. Papa Roach, Falling in Reverse, Hollywood Undead, Escape the Fate. I don’t remember all that much about this show except for being on barricade and getting to high-five Jacoby Shaddix! This show was at Toyota Music Factory in Irving, TX.
March 10th -Rise of the Machine Tour- ft. Static-X, Fear Factory, Dope, Mushroom Head. I went to this show with my mom for her birthday and we got put in a VIP booth upstairs! I also got to see almost all of Mushroom Head as they were leaving their tour bus! This show was at House of Blues Dallas.
March 24 -Asking for a Friend Tour- ft. Badflower, Des Rocs, Blood Red Shoes. God this show was so fun. I ended up right on the barricade in front of Alex and got to rock out with him the entire night. After the show he jumped off stage and put his setlist right into my hand, thanked me for coming and jumped back onto the stage and left. Post show I got to meet Joey and have him sign my setlist which he used my back to write on the paper lol, and after a lot of time waiting but not wanting to give up hope I got to meet Josh!! He was a sweetheart and I got a hug and my setlist signed by him too. This show was at House of Blues Dallas.
March 26th -Asking for a Friend Tour (again)- ft. Badflower, Des Rocs, Blood Red Shoes. Couldn’t get enough of the first show so my mom and I drove to OKC the same day just to see them again! This show was at Tower Theatre in OKC.
May 10th -Dance Devil Dance- ft. AVATAR, Veil of Maya, Orbit Culture. Nothing too crazy but definitely a fun show! It always is when I see AVATAR. This show was at Echo Lounge in Dallas, TX.
May 12th -KATTFEST- ft. Godsmack, I Prevail, Bad Omens, Zero 9:36, Catch Your Breath. This was my first time seeing Bad Omens where I knew their music. I had so much fun and Jolly smiled at me! This show was at the Zoo Amphitheater in OKC.
June 6th -The Property Tour- ft. Waterparks, Hunny, Sophie Powers. Hometown Parx show! Really fun but was all the way in the back because of how crowded it was. This show was supposed to be at Warehouse Live but ended up being moved to Rise Rooftop in Houston, TX.
June 9th -The Property Tour (again)- ft. Waterparks, Hunny, Sophie Powers. I may have to give this show its own post from how much happened. I had VIP for this show, and I got to meet Parx again! I gave a shirt to Awsten that he ended up wearing on stage!! This show was at the Studio at the Factory in Deep Ellum, Dallas, TX.
June 24-25 -SO WHAT?! Music Fest- Saw a bunch of bands, too many to name but the ones I have recorded are Guardin, Holy Wars, Scene Queen, Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, Until I Wake, Girlfriends, The Used, Pierce the Veil for day 1. For day 2 I have Mass Appeal, Tracheotomy, Stink, Real Friends, Sleeping with Sirens, Neck Deep. I met Girlfriends, Zero 9:36, Guardin, and Lonny from PTV! This was at Fair Park in Dallas, TX.
June 28th- So Much For (Tour)dust- ft. Fall Out Boy, Bring Me the Horizon, Royal & the Serpent, Daisy Grenade. This was the first time I got to see BMTH since warped tour after being a fan for 6 years. I got my first Clandestine Industries merch piece here too! This was at Dos Equis Pavillion in Dallas, TX.
July 16th -Ace Frehley- I couldn't remember the names of the openers but there were two. I think this was my 3rd or 4th time seeing Ace. While I'm not a fan of his solo stuff, KISS was my dad and I’s favorite growing up. I think I watched like 4 people buy his $500+ VIP packages while they were at merch which is insane to me. We ended up getting to meet Ace through a friend of my dad’s, it was really fast, and not much was said, but it was still cool! This show was at Echo Lounge in Dallas, TX.
July 25th -Sad Summer Fest- ft. Taking Back Sunday, The Maine, PVRIS, Hot Mulligan, Mom Jeans, Stand Atlantic, Andrew McMahon. I got to meet Stand Atlantic outside of their merch tent! This show was at Toyota Music Factory in Irving, TX.
August 2nd -Dark Horizons Tour- ft Motionless in White, Fit for a King, From Ashes to New. I may give this show its own highlight to be able to go on about everything but this was easily one of my favorite concerts ever. Me, my dad, and my brother picked up From Ashes to New and drove them to their interview in the morning. It was there I got to know Matt, Lance, and Mat. All incredible guys. After this I was surprised by my dad and met Motionless in White!! I’ve met Chris before, but this was my first time meeting the others and I still can’t believe it happened. In This Moment was supposed to play this show but called off due to personal reasons. This show was at the Criterion in OKC!
August 20th -M72 World Tour (night 2)- ft. Metallica, Five Finger Death Punch, Ice Nine Kills. This was my first time seeing Metallica, it was awesome, but naturally my favorite part of the show was Ice Nine Kills. This show was at AT&T stadium in Arlington, TX!
Sept 1st -Psycho Thunder Tour- ft. Asking Alexandria, The HU, Zero 9:36. Got to meet Zero after the show and he was actually gonna come by the mall I work at to go to one of the tourist spots (not naming it for safety) since they had an off day but they ended up not being able to go. I also got an Asking Alexandria setlist! This show was at The Factory in Deep Ellum in Dallas, TX.
September 5th -Re-Imperatour- ft. Ghost, Amon Amarth. Show was great! Got myself a really nice seat upgrade for only $10 in the middle of Amon Amarth's set! While going to find papa bucks, a fan ended up giving me a pick that they found on the ground that turned out to be from Swiss! This show was at Toyota Music Factory in Irving, TX.
September 10th -The 5 Seconds of Summer Show- ft. 5SOS, Meet me @ the Altar. This was my first time seeing 5SOS in over 10 years! The last time I saw them they opened up for One Direction in their Self Titled era. Many tears were shed that night. This show was at Toyota Music Factory in Irving, TX.
September 19th -Rituals Tour- ft. Sleep Token, A.A. Williams. First time seeing Sleep Token and knowing who they were! It was absolutely packed in there. It was a really nice show but I ended up catching covid there and it was brutal. This show was at the Factory in Deep Ellum in Dallas, Tx.
Honorable mention for the Sept. 24th -Scoring the End of the World tour- ft. Motionless in White, Knocked Loose, After the Burial, Alphawolf show that I was supposed to go to but couldn’t due to covid. A friend I had met at the MIW show in August actually reached out to me that morning offering me VIP because their mom also had caught covid and couldnt use hers. To say I was heartbroken was an understatement. I did get to live vicariously through my brother who sent me videos and setlist updates as well as sending me all of the professional pictures he took and edited! This show was at the Factory in Deep Ellum in Dallas, TX.
Another honorable mention for the Oct. 11th leg of that same tour that I got tickets to since I missed Dallas. An hour into my drive to Houston they postponed the show and it was rescheduled to May 5th of this year. Different lineup tba! This show was supposed to be and is rescheduled at White Oak Music Hall in Houston, TX.
Yet another honorable mention for the Oct. 13th -CONCRETE FOREVER TOUR- ft. Bad Omens, Erra, and I See Stars. They had to cancel this show and several others due to Noah getting incredibly sick. This show is rescheduled for May 2-3 of this year! This show was supposed to be and was rescheduled at The Factory in Deep Ellum in Dallas, TX.
Oct 27-28th -2MRF1H- ft. Marvelous 3. Holy fuck this show was fun. Definitely will be getting its own post. My mom and I drove 14 hours to go to this show, but it was worth every second. My mom has been listening to M3 since before I was born and then they became our band. So much happened but I don't want to make it too long here. Got picks from Butch and Jace! This show was at the Tabernacle in Atlanta, GA.
November 4th -Fall Tour- ft. Joe P. There was an opener that joined at the last minute but I can’t remember his name. I finally got to see Joe playing a real show instead of seeing him lipsync while we were filming his music video! Crowd was super high energy and I met Joe after the show. He remembered me from the shoot and was super excited I was there. I didn't recognize him until Joe had said it but Tony, who directed the MV, was doing backup instrumentals during the show! So I got to meet him again too! Both incredible people. This show was at Tulips in Fort Worth, TX!
November 12 -The Jaws of Life- ft. Pierce the Veil, L.S. Dunes, Dayseeker, and Destroy Boys. This was the day of my 18th birthday! This was my first time seeing Dunes after loving their first album. Crowd was by far not my favorite but I didn’t let that ruin the night. I ended up getting a PTV setlist too! This show was at 713 Music Hall in Houston, TX.
December 3 -SECRET SHOW- ft. Waterparks, Denizlove. Yet again this one deserves its own post to go into all of the details. This was a 130 cap secret waterparks show for the final day Warehouse Live would be open. The setlist was a fucking dream. Like actually insane with how many deep cuts were on it. I got a setlist and met awsten after the show! I’ll go into more detail in a post. This show was at Warehouse Live, in Houston Tx.
December 8th -Tour Story- ft. This Wild Life, Broadside, Worry Club, and Not My Weekend. First show getting to see Not My Weekend! I've been friends with Patrick, their singer since we met at Rocklahoma in 2022. He and I talked for a while and he even mentioned my name while on stage talking about the friends he got to see at the show! NMW is gonna be here this coming April and it’s at that show that he invited me to come and shoot! (photography obv) This show was at the Granada Theater in Dallas, TX.
