You start from the bottom. With HTML, I'm pretty sure there are layout generators for Spacehey somewhere. If you want to do it by hand, you need to know what inspect element is and understand a bit of HTML... So i recommend hitting up HTML tutorials and just going at it.
there's some cool tutorials on YouTube
i figured out some things playing with some layouts that i use in my blog, but its just image related things
and music to but its really simple so :-P
