Requesting Book Recommendations

Id love to find some good book reads but anytime I see any online or in person it’s all stuff that doesnt interest me. I recently got a book from the library called half-life that seemed interesting if anyone has any books similar to that one please let me know. I am not a big fan of romances where the entire story revolves around a relationship. I also do read manga if anyone has any recommendations. Or just anything with science fiction or books based on true stories! :)
