Backstory: Milo and his family were originally from America, and moved to japan for a better life than America. As his parents were going through their nasty divorce, Joey would sneak him and Serenity out to places to escape and have fun together. But it came to a quick stop when the divorce got finalized and his parents split custody, Serenity going with their mom, Joey and Milo staying behind with their dad. Life for them wasn't so good with their father after that. He became more distant and cold to them after their mom left, loosing interest in caring about them. School was their escape from their shitty lives and they had a good friendship going with Téa, Tristan, and Yugi. Milo eventually became partners with Yugi, but things went sour when Milo became trans and it caused the group to split. Tristan, Joey and Milo were all friends because they all equally hated Yugi after that. Eventually Kaiba shows up, and Milo befriends him, both sharing a deep hate for Yugi. Back to his home life with Joey and their terrible dad, he eventually threw Joey and Milo out for some unknown reason, but Joey was able to get on his feet, and Milo was being taken care of by him. But after finding out Joey became friends with Yugi again (and finding out SHE became trans) he was pissed and decided to leave. After some time on his own, scrambling from place to place, he eventually runs into Kaiba again and explains whats happening with him. He tries his best to avoid mentioning he doesn't have a place but Seto eventually finds out, and becomes concerned about it. Seto offers Milo a place to stay, but Milo declines it at first and Seto eventually pushes him to agree. After spending a few months with Kaiba they eventually grow closer together, eventually becoming boyfriends. They go out to dueling competitions together, but Milo always causes some shit to happen and Kaiba has to go to the rescue. (most of this takes place during the duel kingdom/island and kaiba finding Milo and dating him is during battle city :3)
