ੈ✩‧₊˚Stan Listੈ✩‧₊˚

Hi! i thought i'd make an official stan list so people know who i like and can friend me if we have similar interests!! i'm also gonna elaborate on which albums i like from each artists so you know what taste i have! i also want to say that, if i didnt include an album thats because i dont listen to it enough to rank it.

Melanie Martinez

Ranking: K-12, PORTALS, Crybaby, After School EP.

Melanie is currently one of my #1 faves. she came to my city on the crybaby tour and i got tickets to see her perform in denver for the PORTALS tour. (i would've had tickets to the k-12 concert in my city but it got cancelled due to covid!!). i run a stan twitter account dedicated to melanie. i relate to the contents of k-12 the most but genre wise PORTALS will always be my go to.

Gabbie Hanna

Ranking: Trauma Queen, 2WayMirror, Bad Karma, This Time Next Year

Don't get turned off by the name alone, because her music is genuinely so good and she rocked the charts for a VERY very long time (like, up until 2023 when she went on hiatus!). I relate to her music a LOT as someone who's also autistic and she works with the music group 'LYRE' to produce her music. For those unaware, LYRE producers for a lot of big K-Pop artists like itzy, and red velvet. it's the reason her albums do so well imo!

Poppy

Ranking: Choke, I Disagree, Am I A Girl, Flux, Zig, Bubblebath, Stagger, Poppy.Computer

i'm OBSESSED with poppy. if i wasn't a stan account for Gabbie or Melanie, it would be poppy. I met her almost two years ago (in 2022) and was originally introduced to her music in such an odd way imo. i was at this interactive museum in my city (Meow Wolf) and i found out that they closed off half the museum for a concert, this girl named poppy. the only way to get access was to buy tickets to the concert and so i did! I ended up staying and that was her poppy.computer tour. i knew of her through her "i'm poppy" videos and the fact that she was able to put on a whole concert just captivated me. i literally felt high off the vibe.

Ashnikko

Ranking: Sass Pancakes, Demidevil, Unlikeable, Weedkiller

its important to note that the ranking here doesnt mean its "bad" or "good" it just means i objectively like one album over the other and tend to listen to it more. it seems odd but sass pancakes is one of my favorite albums because of the "experimental" sound and vibe i get from it. weedkiller is just too new for me to relate to yet, but i know one day it'll be way higher up in the list.

Scene Queen

Ranking: Bimbocore VOL 2, Bimbocore

i've loved watching Hannah (scene queen)'s rise in popularity through social media. i originally found her because i was interested in researching different core/aesthetic suffixes and bimbocore is an aesthetic. her album popped up, and after that her song '18+' went viral on tiktok and she's just been growing and growing ever since. i love every piece of her music, especially the kesha-ification.

Demi Lovato

Ranking: Holy Fvck, Dancing With The Devil, Confident, Demi

this ones hard to explain but i love demi because we both grew up in the same city. she did a "home concert" one year (i think 2015) with nick jonas and i was able to get tickets to see her. i dont remember the name of the tour, but i remember it was for her album 'Confident'. her albums 'dancing with the devil' and 'holy fvck' hit really close to home for me because i'm friends with a lot of addicts and am what certain groups of people refer to as an "herbal" addict so i was able to relate to that loss of sense of self. they were both overall just god tier albums if i do say so myself.

Chloe Moriondo

Ranking: spirit orb, SUCKERPUNCH, rabbit hearted, blood bunny, puppy luv

i started listening to chloe during my slow-indie-bedroom-style-vibe era of music where i listened to a lot of taylor, dodie clark, cavetown, alec benjamin, troye sivan, conan gray, and other songs featuring any sort of a ukulele or lofi genre. then somewhere along the way (2-3 years later) my taste in music got very... feminine grunge-y? like, billie eilish, poppy, gabbie hanna's trauma queen, melanie martinez's PORTALS, jazmin bean etc etc. its not heavy or dark...its grungey! not your stereotypical grunge i dont think. dont ask me. im very bad with labels. all this to say, chloe eventually went down that grunge-y loud style with SUCKERPUNCH and reeled me back into their music.

Billie Eilish

Ranking: WHEN WE ALL FALL ASLEEP WHERE DO WE GO, happier than ever, dont smile at me

as mentioned above, billie eilish was kind of my gateway into music that featured the slightest bit of edge into my music taste. i was listening to this very light, delicate music and billie was able to keep the lightness while introducing the louder instrumentals. this is why i ended up liking WWAFAWDWG more than HTE. it's not that i dont like HTE, it's that i love the grunge-y level in that era of her music. even DMAM had more of those pop-y hits in there.

Renee Rapp

Ranking: Snow Angel, Everything to Everyone

i only very recently got into renee rapp because a gaylor told me to, and honestly i'm hooked. it started with 'poison poison' which gets stuck in my head at LEAST once a day, but it continued with and the fact that her songs are the ONLY good songs on the mean girls soundtrack? VERY TELLING!!

Olivia Rodrigo

Ranking: GUTS, Sour

people may hate me for this but i genuinely unironically like olivia rodrigos music. but i also genuinely, unironically like bad music. not bjork levels of bad (no offense bjork lovers!!), but i definitely like some real bad sounding music. all this to say, i do NOT think Olivia comes anywhere close to some of the bad stuff i intentionally seek out. are there songs on both albums i dont like? of course. it's not a skipless album. but i dont think its bad. with that being said, i dont think it's worth all the hype, either. its just a good album, plain and simply!

Jazmin Bean

Ranking: Worldwide Torture, Traumatic Livelihood

this is another artists i only recently started to listen to, but i instantly fell in love with the artistic expression if it all. the make up, the music videos, the content of the lyrics, literally what is there that you can't fall in love with? They're so great at touching on dark subjects in a way thats digestible but still scary and creepy. they get me.

Twenty One Pilots

Ranking: Vessel, Trench, Regional At Best, Blurryface, Scaled And Icy, Twenty One Pilots

this is a band that i dont listen to consistently anymore, but they had a choke hold on my itunes playlists in 2014-2019. after the pandemic, i didnt really listen to music the same way for scaled and icy just didn't hit the same way. i need to give it a proper relisten when i'm not in the middle of a funk.

Taylor Swift

Ranking: Reputation, 1989, Red, Midnights, Lover, Speak Now, Fearless, Evermore, Folklore

taylors at the bottom of my list because, while i do listen to her, its so sporadic. but i honestly have this thing where, unless someone commits some kind of heinous misdeed against society, i really couldn't be bothered to hate them. like twitter WANTS me to hate her, and i think people here probably hate her too but i just cant be bothered like its just too much work. aside from this, i listen to a LOT of reputation era and lover era.
