Why Lord of Chaos is more than a bad biopic

Okay i study nordic culture, litterature and civilisation in university im more clever than that. I know that i'm gonna sound like a nerd but i don't care.

Lord of Chaos was bad the second they decied to make a movie about Mayhem. Even tho Mayhem was already considered like a "basic black metal band that didn't aged well". The people who made this movie didn't know shit about black metal or metal in general and it's show. Everything is so edgy and cliché (Mayhem was but osef) everything is bad ! The casting is a catastrophe ! I know Rory Cuklin is an amazing actor but damn he don't look like Euronymous at all ! Euro had leppon origin it's litteraly it's ethnicity ! There is only one nordic actor in this movie (Valter Skarsgård) even tho it's a BIOPIC set in Norway.

The miscaracterization of the actual people. Pelle espacially. He was way more than an edgy despressiv loser. He was critticly sick. He had cotard syndrome (to confirm i'm not so sure..) In not any moment in the movie his view about life and death is talked, not at any moment is personality is show (like he dark sense of humour) or even other show than the Leipzing concert (like the semi European tour when they went to turkey). Pelle was butchered in this movie. And oh my satan Karl Kilmer do not look AT ALL like Pelle !

Then Euronymous and his love interest ! Attention the next statement is to read carefully = he was not interested in vagina. He din't considered himself like gay. Maybe he was maybe he was not it's not the point of this entry. The love interest was so usless, but i guess it's an american thing to put a sex scene in each of they're movies ! Euronymous was also miscaracterized, he was more edgelord than this. He was REALLY communist. I can't affirm more things because Euro was kind of tale teller.

Varg. Yeah him too, he was soooooo bad written it's a fucking shame. He wasn't a cringy fanboy of Euronymous. When he met him he was already in a band Old Funeral. The Varg presented in the movie was just and angry young men who hate christianisme and deadly jealous of his "friend". But in really life (i know it's useless to present Varg but osef) he hate monothéiste religion, especially christianisme and has a weird vision of norse-paganisme (you can check his website to understand it).

I rushed everything cuz i'm lazy to whrite. But in general the movie was a mistake. Making a movie about black metal was in the first place a really bad idea because black metal is not meant to be popular or in bright ligt especially not in hollywood. It's not a style that you are suppose to capitalisme about. They don't talk about the impact that mayhem and Varg had on norvegian music culture and norway on general (about the free speach right especially). Not any of the people who work on this movie was calified to talk about this damn movie.

If you like this movie i'm sorry for you but you are a scatophilic for liking a piece of dog shit like that.
