SCENE FASHION TIPS !! (CLOTHING/ESSENTIAL EDITION)

(I won't abbreviate so you all can read :3)

|| This is my third blog explaining scene tips, tricks and just overall explaining what the scene fashion is, where it originally came from, how it became what it is today and all the essentials you need to be scene! I will also include blogs with store recommendations, music artist recommendations, etc! ||

NOW WE CAN BEGIN!! ;

ACCESSORIES : if you look at scene kids, whether its on Pinterest, TikTok, or Instagram you can see that some of them dress different then others (not saying they're not real scene kids) but even the ones that don't necessarily dress the OG scene way they all have very similar traits in there clothing. For example, Head accessories ; For scenes the head accessories usually consist of clips/Bobby pins, a domo/gir/obey etc. hat, a bow (whether it be small or big), a cat eared fluffy hat or a tiara. these are accessories that you can use on your head to give your outfit more of the scene look! if we're talking about ear accessories I would definitely include earrings, piercings are extremely common amongst the scene subculture, most popular being septum, snakebite, or gauges, but for the people that cant get gauges i would still recommend wearing some earrings :3, neck accessories ; for the neck accessories is of course, necklaces, specifically necklaces layered on necklaces, one of the most popular necklaces are necklaces that contain a brass knuckle charm, a mustache charm or just any necklace with any 2016 vibe charm on them! for the waist and wrists I would definitely wear anything studded of course, studded belts, studded bracelets etc. I would prefer layered belts (one through the loop holes and then one not through the loop holes), and some scenes where arm warmers/fingerless gloves but sadly due to the stereotype that scenes harm themselves, it's not very common as much! wrist fishnets also work, as well as thick rubber bracelets like 'i <3 boobie' bracelets and of course kandi, which is a type of just beaded jewelery that you can make yourself. face accessories can usually consist of, of course, piercings but also thick big sunglasses that you can wear normally but some have glasses with little hello kitty whiskers/bow on them that also work really well. and by the feet area, you can wear leg warmers, I prefer the fluffy ones! there's also things such as tail keychains that you can use as a clip on accessory for a keychain on a backpack, purse or your pants!

Some ideas for waist accessories are a controller, pull the controller through the pants belt holes and have a little controller dangling off your waist! You can also clip keychains/tamagotchi or anything that you can hang from your belt/belt loop could work, you can also use a pair of handcuffs  as a waist accessory by again, just putting it through the loophole and of course.. a wallet chain! Another tip is you can make silly little things with Perler beads, iron them together and glue them to a kandi necklace or bracelet and wear those!

CLOTHING : scene clothing usually consists of layered tank tops (ex: a colored tank top over a white VISIBLE tank top), a domo, invader Zim, hello kitty etc. type of shirt, any long off the shoulder band tee (ex : blink-182, etc.) or any tee with 'corny' or 'cheesy' words on them! you can get cringy shirts at your local store usually in the kids section, REMEMBER, the cringier the better! so if the shirt has a cringy phrase on it, wear it! the paints are either a cheetah print skinny jeans or just any type of brightly colored or normal pairs of skinny jeans, if there's no skinny jeans then you can also wear short shorts (not booty shorts!) paired with those you can wear a long or short pair of striped tights of any color of your choice (obvi prefer the brightly colored ones) with a pair of knee-high converse or any type of high top sneakers !! fishnets under the shorts really aren't as popular as people think and most scenes kids wore striped tights NOT fishnets.

some stores I recommend are of course, hot topic, spencers, Etsy, ebay, depop sellers (can be a bit expensive!), Claire's, thrift stores, VampireFreaks (online store), FashioNation, or Amazon (sometimes)
