Well if you liked 'Scream' (you should, it's by far the best slasher out there) you could continue on that train and watch all the other big classic slasher films if you haven't yet, like 'Friday the 13th' (it kinda sucks, I hate it), 'Nightmare on Elm Street' (really good all the way up to the third one, it's all downhill after that), 'Halloween' (Classic, not much to say apart from that), 'Texas Chainsaw Massacre' (kinda started the slasher craze). The best thing about Scream is how it parodies and subdues classic slasher tropes that are present in those movies, so I'd say they're a must watch.
Now if you wanna watch the crème de la crème of horror movies you gotta ditch the blood and guts and go straight to the brain, psychological horror where it's at. The two best horror movies of all time are without a doubt VVitch and Hereditary, truly a must watch, they're so good, so so good, not that slashers aren't good but they're more fun experiences that actual good movies like these two.
Oh yeah Saw is a classic, I totally forgot to mention it probably because it's not a slasher, I'd say it's the mainstream version of what people like to call the "torture porn" genre (not actual porn, there's no sexual content) because instead of masked killers rampaging through groups of teens it's people being tortured in increasingly dramatic ways. But I don't even know why I'm describing it this way when I very much disagree with Saw being calld "Torture Porn", the Saw franchise is definitely very tame in comparison of what's really in that genre, it relies less on graphic imageries and more on the inventiveness of the devices, the first one is a very solid movie that I'd recommend to everyone as it's not too brutal and just a fun time, as with most horror franchises the sequels get worse as the numbers rise but 2 and 3 are also pretty fun. If you end up liking it, 'Hostel' is probably a good next step.

What do you think of Saw? I've heard about it too and it seems good.
